About Ellis

Ellis Stanton is a digital visual storyteller. Ellis spent 5 years working with the Syracuse Field Hockey team, assisting with content creation for their social media. She has experience working in sports production at NBC Sports and ACC Network.

She is a graduate of Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Broadcasting and Digital Journalism at Newhouse and her master’s in Television, Radio, and Film.


All throughout high school, Ellis produced, edited, starred, and filmed videos for her school’s TV-Media program. Her senior year, she was responsible for producing the weekly YouTube show, watched by hundreds of her peers.


At Syracuse, Ellis worked at the ACC Network. She learned the different roles in the control room and got hands-on experience with studio shows and live broadcasts. She served the following roles:

Replay Operator

Bug Operator

Camera Operator

Assistant Director


Ellis created social media content for the Syracuse Women’s Field Hockey program and served as a student manager for all five years. She helped create content for the program’s social media pages and filmed and edited footage during practice and games.


Following graduation from Syracuse, Ellis worked at NBC Sports as a production assistant on multiple shows. She worked on Big Ten football, Notre Dame football, and Track and Field at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also served as a bug operator for Big Ten/Big East/A10 basketball games and for the French Open.
